Where we operate: Brava – The Island of Flowers

Brava, known as ‘The Island of Flowers’, is a captivating destination within the Cabo Verdean archipelago. As the smallest inhabited island, it offers an intimate and tranquil atmosphere with breathtaking landscapes shaped by ancient volcanic activity. Its rich cultural heritage is reflected in colorful villages scattered across undulating terrain.

While our core operations are based in Brava, we also collaborate with institutions throughout Cabo Verde and Macaronesia to share our experiences, scale up successful initiatives, and learn from national, regional and international innovations and best practices.

Beyond its visual appeal, Brava is a paradise for nature enthusiasts, boasting remarkable biodiversity and numerous endemic species. Brava’s commitment to conservation shines through various initiatives, despite facing threats to its endemic plants, with 78% of them threatened according to IUCN Red List criteria.

Brava epitomizes the harmony between humanity and nature, inviting exploration and discovery for those seeking the extraordinary!
